My first post,
It all started for me back in May 2013 by sending a money wire to a Poland Company and then sending the Vouchers from that company to a Exchange in China.
Back then I purchased Peer-coin at 24 cents and later sold them at around the $7- mark, later that year I have seen the progressive development by the coin developers all learning from each other and some creating a new system all together like the proof of stake coins and hybrid proof of work coins.
For me its been a combination of research and watching the market for the coins, also using 6 different exchanges to spread the risk, that was before Mt Gox, never have all your eggs in one basket and take profits, so you are in-front and only trading with made profits not the initial outlay (investment).
Currently I hold a majority of Reddcoin and Karmacoin plus about 30 other alternative coins, the white paper for Reddcoin has made me take notice and the method of using social media as the vehicle for the masses and new coin method.
It was hard to sell all my peer-coin but I knew the game had changed and I had to move with it, then I purchased Doge-coin when it was only 8 days on exchanges, getting out after quick increases to the doge-coin value.
Currently also looking at NXT coin, Darkcoin, my friend did very well last year from penny stocks and I am applying a similar principle to these Alternative coins, buy looking for coins of the type of value .00005 for example, they can quite easily grow to 10 cents or $1-, the mindset for lower prices is mostly easier than say $600- for each bit-coin, together with the marketing and social networking features that could be a real game changer.
